Rental Terms

All car rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, charges, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Eligibility Criteria

3. Reservations and Payments

You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, except when covered by additional insurance. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms is solely your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.

Cancellation and Modifications

Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the exact terms. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.

7. Restricted Activities

Prohibited Vehicle Uses

• The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities or purposes. It is prohibited to engage in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other dangerous maneuvers. Transporting hazardous materials is also forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose and within specified passenger and weight limits. Additionally, driving outside the agreed geographical area requires prior authorization.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.

Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Garforth is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or for fraud.
